VTG Album Block Quilt 20s 30s Hand Quilted Wedding Gift Signed Dated 67x82 FLAWS

Vintage Depression Era Album Block Quilt. Blue sashing with a diagonal 9 patch design and 4 block corners. Solid Blue backing. Signed and dated! Quilt top made in 1928, quilted and given as a wedding gift in 1937. It’s noted that home grown cotton was used for the batting. This quilt is such a gem! Rich in history and character.   This quilt shows imperfections consistent with age and use, including tattering, exposed batting, wear on the blocks, discoloration and staining. The quilt is very dirty and has not been washed. Most of the blocks have some variation of wear, some worse than others. PLEASE ZOOM IN TO SEE THE CONDITION OF THE BLOCKS. The quilt has a vintage storage smell as it’s been stored for years and years.  **PLEASE NOTE: Due to different laundering and detergent preferences, I have not washed this quilt and will leave the cleaning up to the new owner.** I do believe a lot of the minor stains and discoloration would come out with a gentle bath.
